GRASS WARS II, USC FILMS AND MORE!
Not going to lie, I'm bad at updating this site, so here's a whole bunch of new updates!!
First off, the PROLOGUE to Grass Wars II: Bastions of Humanity has been released. Keep in mind, it is a work in progress and some of the shots and audio will be changed in the final cut. Check it out below!

Next, I have been working beyond capacity at USC's Graduate School of Cinematic Arts and thus personal projects - besides Grass Wars - have been set aside. However, many of my films are on my blip channel below!
ROBERT'S BLIP CHANNEL

During some free time, however, we have been cranking out some sketches and movie reviews. Here are some below!

FILM SCORE/SOUNDTRACKS SECTION NOW UP
Again, we apologize for the lack of updates. Both Robert Panico and Alexandra Jensen are attending USC's School of Cinematic Arts and are in the Graduate MFA Production Program. The work is tremendous but great projects are being created. While we work on getting those on here, a new section of the site is now added: Soundtracks.
Availble now are free mp3 downloads of Scorpius Productions' original scores and a list of tracks from previously composed music used in projects.
As of right now, certain pages will be missing on this website, so please bear with us while we continue to update and re-format the site

LIST OF MAJOR UPDATES
Terribly sorry for the long hiatus, but the past few months have been incredibly busy and emotional as most members and collaborators of Scorpius Productions have graduated from college and have gone separate ways. However, we are all still in close contact and working on projects here and there. To make up for this lost internet time, here is a major recap of recent events, lots of excitement!

SECOND "DO IT LIVE!" SCREENING
With a year-long independent study from Alexandra Jensen, a dropped project from Robert Panico and a collaborative "secret" musical, the "Do It Live!" trio (Alex, Jim & Robert) put on their second and final screening at Washington University in St. Louis to a packed theater of students, family members and professors. Unfortunately, numerous problems ensued: the musical was forced to be made in 48 hours, Final Cut Pro couldn't render in time causing problems with projecting from a computer to a laptop to a digital projector (made possible with the brilliant help from Erik Karulf - seen in "What the Maynard" comics), and the trio had to both stall the audience and project previous films including Sincerely and A Dark Knight Out, which the audience practically demanded.
Either way, the three were able to screen Alexandra Jensen's independent study The Eggman & I, a fairy tale comedy about a girl visited by the ghost of John Lennon, Robert Panico's parody of the hit show 24, and a musical comedy about the university's film department FMS: The Musical.
Sadly, Eggman is not online yet and FMS: The Musical was taken down by request of one of the individuals portrayed.
However, The Eggman & I has a trailer online, which can be viewed below:

Robert's 24 parody is also viewable online below:

Here are some screenshots of FMS: The Musical. Music will be available for download shortly!

Robert's scrapped sci-fi drama, Simulacrum, can be viewed via screen shots of the only completed scenes. He is considering re-writing and remaking this for USC's Graduate Film Program.

SECOND 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT ENTRY
After the screening, the trio met up again to enter the St. Louis 48 Hour Film Project for a secod time. They learned that last year's entry, Sincerely, was disqualified for awards (despite making Top 15) due to incorrect usage of the character name. They were determined to get everything right this year. After drawing a "Film de Femme" genre, the trio decided to make a fantasy film with a strong female lead. Despite a successful shoot, the finished product was 5 minutes too long. Painfully, they cut 5 minutes of plot and submitted the film. Because of the cut footage, the theatrical version was too fast and confusing and thus didn't make it into Top 15.
However, they managed to release their Director's Cut on YouTube:

RAMSAY'S KITCHEN BOOTCAMP
Before moving out to Los Angeles, Robert wanted to partake in one more fun parody video and out came a parody of the hit show Hell's Kitchen in which Chef Gordon Ramsay makes a surprise appearance at a house and forces the two hosts to cook for their party...under his strong and F-Bomb ridden direction of course:

UPCOMING PROJECT
The final update is an exciting piece of news. Alex, Jim and Robert have decided to make a sequel to their 1st place winning 48 Hour Film Hearts & Stars. Not much can be revealed as of yet, but the film has the return of the alien Tran while Cooper discovers a possible corruption in his federal branch and Martha finds a human love interest. There will also be a new, powerful, and extraterrestrial villain introduced.
Stay tuned, it's going to be epic.
