SYNOPSIS: A detective solving a brutal murder case of a young woman with Mafia ties learns that his sister's boyfriend may be involved. Deciding whether to trust him or arrest him, he begins to uncover a conspiracy that stems from his presinct. Along with the help of his undercover partner and his sister, action ensues and blood is shed.

PRODUCTION NOTES: After drawing the thriller genre and a toy boat as a prop, Robert Panico immediately went into pre-production with him team. Hunter Richards, who plays the title role, aided in character details while Lara Bennett worked closely in establishing the relationships between characters as well as plot with Robert. Adam LaMore and Jim Wolfe Jr. were enlisted as supporting roles, which grew during production. ALexandra Jensen, while playing a brief role, helped greatly with her cinematography and masterful make-up effects.
Turning in the film at literally the last second, Mason Drift: Weapon of Choice won second place at the 2nd annual WUTV 48 hour film festival. After completing a director's cut of the film, Robert released it on YouTube.
Because the cast and crew loved the story so much, an alternate ending was shot and plans for a series are in the works. Stay tuned for Mason Drift: Under Cover of the Day.
